About Our Club

Our club was formed in 1993 and incorporated in 1995 when mountain biking (MTB) in Australia was in its infancy. Since then the club and the sport have gained popularity through advocacy and participation. The Bushrangers MTB Club is a volunteer based organisation run by enthusiasts, for the benefit of promoting and supporting mountain biking across the region.

We do regular rides all over Sunshine Coast and SEQ from Cooloola to Brisbane, in national parks, state forestries and council parks. Check out this website for more information on events, news, and for places to ride.

Committee Positions and Roles – AGM is in 4 months

Hello Folks!

So I’ve been chatting to people about our next AGM (in 4 months) and I’m hearing things like “No way I could do what you guys do! You guys did so much and are sooo handsome and smart, and witty etc”. And that’s mostly true BUT most of that work was optional and not required to run the club, if anything we bit off way too much.

Now graphs make everything awesome so I made up this sexy RASIC chart (hello ladies!). It shows the essential tasks that need to be done to keep the club ticking over and what position should do it and also what position can back them up.

Roles and Responsibility Matrix

Now this is just a guide and can be tweaked and adjusted as the new committee sees fit or if changes occurred e.g. adding a Vice President or Social Coordinator.

So if a committee member wants to do more (like a training clinic, camping trip or a race) then you have the option to do so and it will be most appreciated but it’s not required – so don’t feel obliged.

CORRECTION: Graphs are not actually that awesome in the bedroom – learn from my mistake lads.
